Elite Start is for adults who’ve always wanted to try tennis — or haven’t picked up a racquet in years.
This beginner-friendly program helps you build skills, boost confidence, and have fun right from your very first swing.
Whether you're looking to stay active, meet new people, or just try something new, Elite Start is the perfect place to begin.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Fundamentals – The basics of swinging, serving, and moving around the court
Rallying: How to rally consistently and play with a partner
Scoring: Simple rules so you can keep score and play real matches
Court Savvy: Key terms and positioning so you know where to be and what to do
Do I need tennis experience?
Not at all. Elite Start is designed specifically for beginners. No prior experience is needed we’ll guide you step by step.
What equipment do I need?
Just wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothes. We’ll provide tennis racquets if you don’t have one yet.
How much does it cost?
The full session (6 one-hour classes) is $99 total.
When are classes?
• Monday & Wednesday
• 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM or 6:00 – 7:00 PM
All sessions are held at Elite Tennis & Wellness in Overland Park.
What will I learn?
You’ll learn the basics of strokes, court movement, scoring, and how to rally — all in a fun, supportive environment.
What’s the class size?
We keep groups small so everyone gets personal attention from the coach.
Is this for adults only?
Yes. Elite Start is strictly for adults 18+ so you can focus, learn, and connect with other new players.
Do I have to be a member to join?
No membership required — anyone can register.
